Alternative Music
The alternative music genre which is also known as indie in UK is considered to be a rock genre even though some of its sub-genres came from other genres like reggae. The alternative band is usually composed of four to five persons where there is a drummer, guitarist, bass guitarist, vocalist, and maybe a lead guitarist. In the present music scene, there are a number of alternative bands that have achieved commercial success, and many more are still rising. But if we look back to it’s beginnings, this genre rose or gained popularity through word of mouth and through local college band fests. But now, these guys can get famous just through the Internet.
